

As DS9 goes, this episode was nicely presented, most notably through the pacing and continuity, but nothing groundbreaking. "Image in the Sand" plays like several of the "Final Chapter" installments: It's hard to judge on its own because its story destination is unclear and rides so much on what comes afterward. Well, this is it folks-my last posting for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I didn't get everything I wanted, but I certainly got a lot. Nevertheless, I'm willing to call it one of DS9's-and Trek's-best overall seasons.
